Default Bi-Xenon HIDs for Outlander Sport

Hello Guys,

I have been reading a lot in the forum and I call a local shop regarding how to get HIDs. When I call I told them I wanted to do the Low-Bims; however he told me I will loose the Daytime Running Lights (DRL). I have a Canadian RVR and I want to keep the DRL.

Does anybody know of a kit that are Bi-Xenon, like the one that comes in the higher models?

Regards,

Diego

Use the Lexia tool to switch DRLs to be the fog lights. That way you don't have to spend hundreds on hardware and no wiring changes required.

Ivanz thanks for your replay. I feel kinda dumb. I look into it further and there is a company called Xenon Supply (HID Kits Xenon Lights & LEDs | Xenon Supply).

They sell HID kits, I called their customer service and they assure me that they DRL are not lost and that there is no flickering. They have a couple of videos of how to install the kit and it looks very simple.

I think I will order from them in a couple of weeks.

either way, HIDs are expensive to replace compared to standard bulbs, so running the HID bulbs all day long is probably not the best idea. I'd personally still swith the DRLs to the fog lights if upgrading to HIDs

Is this possible without the "type-1" fog housing with two bulbs? I have the fog lamps with just one bulb (fog) and didn't see a straightforward way to do this. If I switch the DRL to "independent" I still have to hook up the wires to get any power to the fog lamp.

If there's an easier way, I'd be very happy
