Biggest Tire Size on Outlander Sport
I want to get some All-Terrains for my 2011 Outlander Sport and the only tire I've found in the stock tire size (225/55-18) are the Yokohama Geolanders, I'm not really a fan of those tires.
Any thoughts on how large I can go on the stock wheel without having rubbing issues? |
245/50/18 and 255/50/18
|
with stock rim which have a 7 inch width, I would go max 235/55/18. The numbers above are for wider rims. But you are looking for all-terrains--"grappler" type tires. The only way to make it work is to lift the outlander...

So if I'm understanding you correctly, the numbers you listed in your first post would not be possible utilizing the stock wheels?
Not sure I would want to lift my ride, just fill out the wheel well a little more and give me more mud, rain, snow coverage. I think its funny if I go larger to the 235/55r18 there aren't any all-terrain tires that I can find, but the stock size 225/55r18 has the Yokohama Geolandars. They're not bad tires and they're relatively cheap too so I guess that might not be the worst way to go. |

larger and wider tires will probably decrease your fuel mileage so keep that in mind.
