Default bluetooth passcode

hi, I just bought a 2011 mits outlander sport (used) the previous owner has a passcode on the Bluetooth. im unable to do anything keeps asking for the passcode. anyway I can reset this myself?

I took it to the dealership and low and behold the thing was working I deleted all pairs and repaired my phone it worked fine till I turned off my car and then it did not want to pair again. I have the HTC One Max is anyone having issues like this with an HTC?

Hmm thx for that link however my HTC One Max is not even listed I'm guessing it is not compatible.

Basically any Android phone should work.

I went through these: T-mobile G1, HTC Magic, Nexus One, LG G2x, HTC Amaze, Nexus 4.
All of them were working fine with my Outlander.

BT Apps for what?

I occasionally use Torque, it uses BT connection but not with HF.

I also used several different car dock apps starting docking mode once BT HF is connected.
