Default Bluetooth repeatedly forgets iPhone

It seems like every few weeks I have to re-pair my iPhone. There is no rhyme or reason for the iPhone to unpair with the system, it just happens at random. Does anyone else have this problem with their phone? Have you solved a faster way of fixing it other than going through the 3-minute pairing sequence while in park?

My old phone, a motorla Q, used to have the same issue. It was a crapshoot if it would be paired when I got into the car. I've got a new phone, a voyager, and it doesn't seem to have the same problem, 99% of the time it pairs when I get in.

I have tried twice so far to pair my 3gS iPhone with my outlander. My Blackberry accepted it the first time. Have to go get the kid who sold me the Outlander to get it to pair correctly!

Default My '07 Outlander keeps forgetting Iphone 4 Pairing

Used to have no issues with my Iphone 3GS but now the car is very difficult to successfully sync with my Iphone 4 and even when I can pair the two, the car and phone forget each other the next time I drive. Very frustrating!!

I am having the same issue. My Outlander 2010 XLS keeps forgetting the pairing with my iPhone. I had a iPhone 3GS (Rogers) with no problems for over a year, when I moved to a iPhone 4 (Telus) I had no problems for the first few months then it started to randomly unpair me at least weekly. I have since moved to a iPhone 4S (Bell) and right from the start I get unpaired almost weekly. It is random though, sometimes I get unpaired 3 times in the same week then I am ok for 10 days etc. I am wondering if it is a problem with an update from apple? Whatever the problem is it is a huge PITA!

update: Digging around it would seem to be an issue with iOS 5. Have not found a solution yet.

My solution is to use a garmin nuvi sat nav, it works everytime and even speaks text messages, My car always requires pairing each time ignition is turned off, with motorola razor and samsung tocca

my iphone 4 has never lost connection. the funny thing is sometimes it will display the song information and sometimes it wont. is the phone current on iOS updates? moving to iOS 5 allowed the phone to pass the song info. but never had any other problems.

FYI: reread - i have a sport with the rockford fosgate system.

i have the same problem and i have a android phone. its not a fix but when it unpairs itself all i do is shut off car and turn it back on, most times that fixes the pairing. but while we are on the subject of Bluetooth i have a different problem question. i have an 07 XLS, OK, phone works fine when making calls. but when ever i use my phone in my sisters car that's also Bluetooth enabled the phone works and i can play my music threw it also. but in my car it doesn't play music. is there a setting or could it just be my cars Bluetooth that wont allow the music? she has a 2011 subi

I believe you can only stream music in the outlander model if you have 2010 or newer model year as that's when they introduced the FUSE system that allowed you to stream music via bluetooth. I have a 2009 and mine doesn't have that capability, so yours being a 2007 will not have that either.
