Bluetooth Settings
Recently I bought another phone and when I tried to paired up with the outtie, it won't detect or find any?
Well my old phone has prevously set up with the outtie. So the question is, should I set it up again or reset it? If so, how do you reset it? |
RE: Bluetooth Settings
Outie's bluetooth system can pair up to 8 phones. Check it quantity via menu.
If youdon'tplan to use old phone, you can delete paired phone. Voice menu: "Setup" -> "Pairing options" -> "List paired" -> "Delete" In any case, old paired phone can'tprohibit you pair a new. |
RE: Bluetooth Settings
I just paired a new phone and deleted my old one first. I had some problesm with pairing it. You cant be driving while you do it either. You have to be parked. Make sure the new phone is excepting bluetooth signals. If it isnt then your outlander wont pick it up.

RE: Bluetooth Settings
Oh yeah, I thought I would put this out there....
Have had the Outtie for about 7 months, have had the same phone paired for about the last 6 months. This last week I make a call and it doesnt go through the car and I have to go old style and hold the phone ;). I was like WTF?? Ends up the phone is not paired anymore? I tried to pair it, which forgot you cant while driving. I tried again when I stopped and since it had been a while I kinda forgot how to pair (need to check the manual). But it still didnt take so maybe I need to "delete" the old pair and start from scratch. What would make this happen? No, phone or car bluetooth settings have not been messed with or changed. |
RE: Bluetooth Settings
Having the same problems. Previous phone: HTC Tytn, worked absolutely perfectly. Have a MDA Vario III (Tytn II) now and the carkit doesn't select the mda automatically. I have to voicecommand "select phone" to get the connection. I'm getting the mmcs installed this week, so I'll wait and see if the problem is with the new phone or not.

RE: Bluetooth Settings
Hey all-
My new 2008 Outlander works like a dream with my Sony w810i (I'm assuming other Sony phones with Bluetooth will work just as well). The phone is about a year old, but I didn't have any problems connecting it to my car. Whenever I get into my car and turn it on, the phone is automatically connected. Sweet... |
RE: Bluetooth Settings
If there is this setting on your phone, have it connect to bluetooth automatically. I don't know how, but I have seen the case that the car wouldn't connect to my phone either (motorola RAZR) but with my new phone it works PERFECTLY.

RE: Bluetooth Settings
I have the MMCS now, but it seems that the bluetooth stayed the same because all my settings were still there. Of course still with the same problem of the Tytn 2 not connecting automatically. So I deleted all phones and set it again and still the same problem. Then I paired the phone with the engine on and now it works great :D. Every time I paired before, the engine wasn't on so apparently the pairing doesn't go well with the engine turned off??

RE: Bluetooth Settings
I have the razr but the only prob I have is trying to answer a call.. Pushing the off-hook will not answer, have to dig out the phone and make it connect that way

RE: Bluetooth Settings
My Razr picks up and hangs up with the steering wheel button, no problems.
