Considering the purchase

Considering a purchase on the new 2017 Outlander sport SUV, problem is, the reviewers seem to hate this compact SUV (ave 2.5 stars)

This would be my first new car (and i'm pretty old)
I need something with light towing, and can handle a dirt road (which i live on)

the price is perfect, but my heart has been set on a mazda cx5 since i first laid eyes on it..
but i can't afford a new cx5

So guys.. it's your forum.. tell me all the pros and all the cons of your outlander sport.. i need some help deciding!

Oh lastly, no kids.. of the non furry kind..

The Sport is priced right and a great vehicle.
Great AWD system and features.
2.4 is a great motor and will take what you can dish out to it.
Also plenty of upgrades that are "simple" to do that are worth it.

For the money Mitsubishi is a great value. They have a few quirky features and depreciation is awful on resale, because they aren't as popular. But if you want brand new and plan on keeping it for awhile they are a dependable, practical and a nice looking vehicle.

Sounds about right. I was looking at Mazda too, but perfectly happy with my SEL.
