i have the 07 xls with goodyears as well.

i saw the edges "cracking" also.

you need to rotate tires front to back every 5K miles.

when the tires are on the front i run them at 40 psi to "stay off of the edges"
.......rears are at 35 psi.

i have 23K miles on them and i estimate i will get another 5-7K miles out of them.

THANKS,

I ONLY HAVE 7K miles on the vehicle now, i guess its about time. But I have never seen that before on any of the cars I owned.
I had goodyears on my Mazda 3 GT, they only lasted 30k miles - how sad

Tires that are only 2 years old should not have cracks regardless of miles on them. Cracking is an indication of tires drying out. I would go to a Goodyear dealer in your town and complain.

I believe the mitsu owner's manual says tires are covered by the tire manufacture. I would take it to the local Yoko dealer for the cracks.Again I don't think cracks on 2 year old tires is normal. I wonder if there may be some defect in the compound used to make them.
