Does the Outlander PHEV have oil dilution?
So my main vehicle is a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. I live in Canada and in a very small town. I always drive short distance like to work 10 KM.
Basicly all winter, my Jeep 4xe goes into what we call FORM ( Fuel and oil refresh mode). It is cause due to the short distance and oil not been warm enough. Withing 1 week if I did not clear it, my oil indicator will go all the way to 0% and say I need to change my oil.... So basicly the gas is stuck in the oil. Not been able to get the oil hot enough contaminate my oil to a point where I need to change the oil. I dont want to change my oil ever week..... lol. So is the outlander phev has something similar? |
Run on EV mode for short trips and the ICE won't start. If your daily requirement is for a longer range than the PHEV will provide then you have to charge at your destination.

Then you have the wrong car! ;) Here in balmy Buckinghamshire (UK) my Outlander will run as EV in winter, but not as far as now in summer. Never tried -10C as it doesn't happen in the south very often.
