Extended Warranties
When buying a new or used vehicle from a Mitsubishi dealer, if you want to spend extra money on something for the vehicle, negotiate a price with the dealer for the dealer to perform all of the scheduled maintenance items that are detailed in the "severe service" section of the vehicle's service and maintenance manual. Items such as frequent transmission and transfer case fluid changes, as well as timing belt replacement, are pretty expensive little buggers. Things "add up" fast, so make sure that labor and any miscellaneous "shop fees" are included in an "all in" price.
IMO, after such a deal, the owner would be far less reticent to take the vehicle to the dealership for those items to be performed.
