Finally OEM-like crossbars

After years of waiting for decent crossbars to be available for my 2007 XLS, Yakima comes through with a really good quality offering called Whispbar. It's shaped like an airplane wing so it's the quietest ones available. Best of all looks like it came with the vehicle. Got it from Rack Attack.

Those look good. Mind if I ask the price?
The local dealer wants ~$600 for OEM ones.
They kind of have me by the short hairs as it's pretty tough to transport kayaks without these.

looks like you lose a bit of room on each side.

Why don't you go for a second hand thule or something. Mine was dirt cheap. As for noise, you may have to pick up a fairing, but still - waaaaay cheaper thatn $600 and wider too.

These have been around for a while. Highly recommended.

Unless the original developer/manufacturer has been acquired they are actually made by Prorack.
