Question Mitsi convert?

Hi all,

I need a honest answer. I am fed up with my Nissan Xtrail 2.5. the simple job like head removal and replacing 4 exhaust valves got to £2000 pounds bill. They broke camshaft, so new one need adjustments and of course design is cam on buckets. I need 7 more buckets at £40 each. This job is just getting more expensive than is worth it.

Missus wants to get rid of it and both we like Outlander 04 06, so there is my question in term of reliability. .. is it good or bad? Is it easier to replace cylinder head (in case of lpg problems)
How about auto box and 4wd.? Any advice for a novice? Is it in general easier to work on than on xtrial?

Thanks for any input

Ps. We are after 2.4 auto 2005 reg if possible...

if the shop broke it, why are you paying for thier mistake?

on the outlander, I'e had a 2011 four and now have a 2012 V6.

i like the v6 better than the 4 cyl, and there is mot much fuel economy difference.

4 wd is the way to go.

I had spare head anyway but if they to supply I would have to wait 4 weeks. Now they have to order buckets for another £300 and wait for 5 days. I have enough of this. That is why I'm asking if outlander 2.4 is easy to work on becouse soon as I got it back I'm selling it and getting outlander. Here in uk we have only 2.4 auto.
I got the skills to fix my own cars but I'm lacking space. Those 2k wiped off me driveway so now I need to take easy.
