Do you have the US Outlander? what's the build date of your Outlander? I can't believe it does not work for me. I used a CD-RW, ISO9660 with no relax iso extensions, type 1.

what's the cd tree structure supposed to be? mine looks like (X is drive letter)

X:\ECDDB.UDT
X:\CDDB_VER_EN.TXT
X:\ECDDB.UDX

or should it look like this?

X:\1459\ECDDB.UDT
X:\1459\CDDB_VER_EN.TXT
X:\1459\ECDDB.UDX

Did anybody successfully tried using a CD-RW media? that's all I have at the moment. I don't want to buy a CD-R unless I can confirm it works

Better yet, can someone post an ISO or NRG image of their media used? Just post it through Pando or Megaupload, or Rapidshare

Not sure the build date (I will have to check) but I bought it in Oct. 2006. My CD structure looked like:
X:\ECDDB.UDT
X:\CDDB_VER_EN.TXT
X:\ECDDB.UDX

Did you use a CD-ROM or CD-RW? And also, what program did you use to burn the CD and what are the ISO settings. Somehow I can't update with a CD-RW with the same tree structure.

I used a CD-R and Nero for my burning software (CD-ROM (ISO)).

I also used a CD-RW with no success. I am getting some CD-R's today to give it another try. BTW I burned it with the built-in Vista program.

I used Sonic Record Now! with a CD-R--but you may have to check your burning app's settings to see how to create "closed" sessions--the disc should not be able to be added to/appended to after you are done. Your default settings may be for "open" sessions for data cds. Otherwise, I suspect your CD-RW media is not compatible for some reason..? In addition--when I first put the disc in--I just got the "Check Disc" warning--it wasnt until I hit "Mode" and saw the active "CDDB Update" button that I realised it might work....

I just did it on cd mode. I put the cd in. It said grace note on the right side. I went to AV mode and waited and waited and waited. Nothing.
