HELP! 07 Outlander ASC OFF, SERVICE WARNING, BATTERY DEAD, STUCK IN 3RD GEAR! HELP!
Hi,
This my first post here and I really need some help. Last night my wife and I went to dinner and when I came home I noticed the ASC OFF light came on and then a service engine soon. I thought nothing of it and we went to bed. When I woke up the battery was drained. I jumped it and when I went into reverse a loud clunk took place and the car shook. The car also starts in 3rd gear and will not swith gears on its own or manually. I just went out to check the car again and the battery is dead again. I really need some help. I do have the Mitsubishi powertrain warranty. Does anyone have any experience or advice with this situation? Thanks in advance! -nbgsultan |
don't really know a big lot about it, but it could be alternator/battery problems. I have heard before that low voltage can effect sensors and other electrical components in the transmission. Also, since your battery is always dead, it's probably not charging it. Just a thought.

young's idea not bad, though I would have thought something like that would throw a code earlier...though maybe not.
My best guess is a short in a wire that deals with the transmission. If it is under warranty, take her to the stealership. |
