Help Please! 2003 Outlander Brake Issue
 

Hello, new member here. Just replaced front calipers, pads and rotors on this vehicle with ABS. Bled system with engine running in passenger rear, driver front, driver rear, passenger front sequence. Still have very little pedal. Do I need to bleed ABS block and if so, which of the 6 lines.

Did you try back-bleeding? I've personally only done it on my bike, but after seeing others do it on cars and trying it on the bike I can really and truly say it is amazing how much easier it is.

one thing, you went out of order. you start furthest from the reservoir to the closest: Passenger Rear, Driver Rear, Passenger Front, Driver Front.

How did you bleed the lines? I've already changed out my fluid on my '07 using a vacuum style bleeder. No need to have the engine on. I've tried bleeding by loosening/tightening the bleeder valve...unsuccessfully. Vacuum is very easy and very little chance of trapping a bubble inside accidently. If you were local I'd help you out, very quick.

In my experience bleeding brakes is no different on a car with ABS. If you've never done it before, it is harder than you think to get all the bubbles out. Google and YouTube will help you see where you messed up.

Thanks for the responses. Just kept bleeding them and got them working, but power bleeding would improve them a bit.
