Default Help! Window cable snapped.

I have an 04 Outlander (UK). The front window cable snapped on me today and the window jammed. I managed to remove the door panel and free up the window, so at least it is closed.

My question is can I get a replacement cable, or do I need the whole window motor?

Thanks.

sounds like you need a new window regulator....something like this:
Mitsubishi Parts | OEM Mitsubishi Parts | Genuine Mitsubishi Parts

usually, the regulator is the cabling & rail assembly the window rides on. sometimes the motor is seperate, so you shouldn't have to re-purchase that. Hopefully there are UK oem mitsubishi parts sites.

I had the same problem with mine a few months ago. I tried to repair it without success. I bought a complete mechanism (without motor) from a local Mitsubishi dealer for about £90 GBP. When I get home tonight, I'll see if I still have the paperwork with the code number on it.

Thanks for the information. Is this a regular thing with Outlanders?

I have managed to get one ordered from the local Mitsubishi dealer, now all I have to do is figure out how to fit it.
