Default HID Converstion

I am interested in converting over to the factory HID lights on my 2007 LS and I got this list of parts from JSRD and I wanted to know if all of the parts are in fact needed? Can I just do the HID with out the auto leveling?

1. PN 8301A919 Headlamp assy,LH $576.92
2. PN 8301A932 Headlamp assy, RH -$576.92
3. PN 8634A022 Control unit (Levelling ECU)- $314.81
4. PN 8651A047 Sensor,RR $234.71
5. PN 8651A095 Sensor,FR $234.71
6. PN 8303A016 Sub harness,RR - $29.79
7. PN 8303A015 Sub harness,FR $40.56

Total - $2008.42

Also has anyone used aftermarket HID conversion kits with any real success on the Outlander. I put some on my 2001 Galant and I am not completely satisfied as the beam pattern isn't as focused as it should be.

Hi jw6594. According to my experience with this update, you can only use the headlamps without using the other parts of the list (3-7), but it is necessary that you verify that you have the prewiring so that the installation is plug&play, and will have to use the 2g0s0r1's method (https://mitsubishiforum.com/m_200850/tm.htm) to eliminate flicker on HID headlamps or another alternative. My dealer it has not been able to reprogram the ETACS to eliminate the DRL.

About HID aftermarket kit, the OEM halogen low beam patter screen is physically very different to OEM HID pattern, and I doubt that aftermarket HID kit can obtained the OEM HID performance, personal opinion. . .

An additional commentary: if you want to use the parts 3-5, you must verify in your Out that you have the preparation to install them, otherwise, you would make a purchase unnecessary of this parts. This was something that I did (verification) with the service manual information that is in the forum, and it is 100% true the information on this system. . .

jsrd, few questions (may be stupid, sorry):

1) How I can understand which of those parts are already installed in my car?
2) My Outie is 2.4 CVT version, does it have "pre-wiring" or not ?
3) Where I can find showed connector fot cheking pairs of HID/halogen wires ?

Thank you.

Or you could save yourself money and get aftermarket HID's.

Your choice.

Your choice.
I can buy "Noname" china HID kits ~ US $100
They include two HID lamps and two high voltage boxes.

If I will install those HID lamps in my halogen projctors it will be very uncomfortable to other drivers. I dont want this.

$2000 of course, too high price, but I may use original HID projectors and cheap HID lamps. I looking for auto-leveling system in my Outie too.

I can't buy original HID lamps with 2.4 CVT version in Russia.
Only with V6 3.0 engine with leather & sunroof - the price difference is very far from 800$...

Looking for codes 8301A932 & 8301A919 was fail - our suppliers don't know those partnumbers.
All others ok.
It may be mistake in some digit ?

Perhaps they have another part number. You can try to obtain the local part number from HID headlamp of V6-3.0 versions. . .

considering that Outlander XLS costs about twice as much in Russia, $2k for HIDs might be not bad, but then that raises an interesting question...

so top of the line Outander is 1,772,505 rubles... that's about $52k MSRP... ouch! Is average salary higher in Russia these days then in US that people can afford cars at the price? Amazing! Maybe I should consider moving back!

those part numbers are sold in North American market only possibly due to the amber reflector. You need the housings for HID lamps in your market. Also your Outtie may not be
wired for the autoleveling feature.
