Key confimation beep annoyed
 

How can I turn off the Key Confirmation beep after I step out for a few feet? I don't mind the beep when I left my keys inside as a reminder to take out b4 lock.

But the thing that annoys me is the beep everytime I step out of the car for a few feet and beeps. Especially during at night or morning. Didn't want to bother anyone. Its either that or I leave the keys in the car. I am to lazy to take out of my pocket.

I just disconnected the outside beeper :) On my 08 Lancer, its located behind the rear bumper. I always prefer my cars to make as little noise as possible.

There is a text string in the MMCS's firmware image regarding the key out of car notification, but its not present in the equipment options menu. Does anyone with access to a dealer scan tool know of an option to "properly" disable this?

That beep beep beep is annoying, but what is really annoying, is when you have the door open in the summer while your cleaning it, that ding ding ding noise sucks. I removed that ding ding thing in my last car, but cant find it in the outlander. There has to be a way to remove those things.
