lack of power from dead stop
My 2010 Sport 2.4 CVT is such a dog when starting from a dead stop.It is sometimes dangerous when crossing intersections of pulling out into traffic . Can the stall speed be adjusted? Just a few more RPMs would help. It seems that first gear is geared to high. Paddle shifting does not help because it does not change standing start RPMs

Check to see if there are any service bulletins out on your car. My 2007 Outlander had one a couple years after it was released to update the transmission firmware so it would shift better from a stop or near stop, i.e., start in first gear rather than second. Yours is a CVT, but there's still a chance there's a firmware update that could be made.

I’ve been told CVT fluid change will resolve the issue. |
