Default Mud guard adhesion

Hey all,

So my buddy and I were trying to put longer mudflaps over the mud guards to prevent rock chipping (one of the other members had a thread about this). However, when I went to get something and came back, he had taken one of the mud guards right off the truck. We obviously put it back with the mud flap attached now, but it isn't as tight as before due to the lack of adhesion from the strips.

My question is is there any harm in having the mud guard on without the adhesion of the strips? THere are 3 bolts holding it there - it just doesn't have that tighter seal around the frame...

Thanks!!! Hopefully this will help with the bloody problem of chipping from rocks!!!!

Go down to your auto store (ex autozone) and get some double sided 3m auto tape. It will be best if you have the tape that way dirt and grime dont sit in between the guard and the fender.
