I have a 2010 Outlander GLS with 47,000 miles. The components of the communication system work only intermittently, e.g. Sometimes the radio but not the navigation system, backup camera but not radio, often nothing works at all. Mitsubishi won't help as it is out of warranty and the dealer quoted $1295 for a new system. They have offered to send it out for repair, but tell me it is a minimum $150 just to look at it. Any advice on how to proceed??? Thanks, Tim.

 

When did the warranty change? My '11 has 3yr/60k bumper-to-bumper coverage.

Have you tried removing the head unit and checking the connections?

 

sounds like a loose connnection-type problem.

I believe the 3 yr warranty is for the original owner,so if you bought it used,, the warranty does not apply.

You might try one of the aftermarket installers of stereo equip to look into the problem, but you might as well resign yourself to spending big bux if you thingk the MMCS is worth it.
