Just wanted to share. Replaced head unit, front speakers. Front doors noise dampened. Took me 2 weekends. This is my first personal installation. I'm satisfied with this one. Will add rear view camera soon.
head unit: kenwood 5120
speakers: polk db 6501
steering wheel controls: pac swi-x
front dash: metra 99-7013
noise buster: dynamat xtreme

Good job, Hertz. About the Dynamat, that as much improvement the isolation to the interior of the Outie and that as much improvement the listening of the audio? I want to put Dynamat to my Out and your comenatrios will be helpful. . .

I found radio harness color codes here:

Also I've purchased Outlander compatible harness from installer.com, it comes with the same color-codes as the one supplied with kenwood unit. It made matching wires no brainer. The only drawback about harness I got - it does not come with extra pins for steering wheel buttons interface, so I just cut them out.

Covering front doors only with dynamat did not make any difference in terms of reducing road noise. I'm planning to do floor, trunk and back doors with it. Hope it will make a difference.
However it has modified the sound of stereo. Good side - it became more articulated so vocal is now very clear and near to perfect. Bad news - it created kind of closed box for speakers, so response from mid-bass is significantly reduced.

Think twice if you don't have sub and like bass.

note - speakers are placed on mdf rings. it has played it's role also
