Default Nav/Music Server Questions

Hi, have a new outlander ordered but have a some questions that i'd like answered. Apologies if theyre obvious but i didn't ask these questions during test test drive.

1. Where are discs inserted, nothing obvious in the car.
2. How are mp3 transferred to music server, and is there a limit to the number of files and will other formats play, wma etc.
3. Where is the AUX port kept, and i presume you can connect an ipod to it?
4. How are uploads to nav completed?

Checked and can't see this on other parts of the site, may have missed it.

3 weeks from getting car so trying to get all my music ready

Hey cokeibm

1) I believe you hit open on the MMCS and it slides open to reveal a disc slot in the back.
2) No MP3 transfer. Number of files depends on disc space.
3) Yes hopefully behind the middle armrest
4) Via DVD but there has not been any updates in years, I have a 07 with 05 maps. I believe mitsu will not be doing the updates because of cost

He said he had ordered it which means it should be an 09.
09's have the capability of ripping MP3s and if its anything like my 07 it should do it automatically when you insert the disk. The 09 should also have a 40gig vs a 30gig. Someone on here said that the 30gig only holds like 9gigs of music so hopefully you will have more with the 09.

Thanks for that

I'm in Europe (UK), and all info i have including on the Mitsibushi website reference 30gb.

Will need to wait and see, tbh 30 or 40 as long as it will rip to mp3 to maximise the amount of music it will hold i'll be happy.

Thanks again

I've got the 2009 which has a 40GB drive but only 10GB is available for music. It does NOT rip mp3 cds, only normal audio cds. I ran out of space at around 150 discs.
