http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/au...lander_gt.html http://www.leftlanenews.com/mitsubis...er-future.html 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT Prototype revealed Mitsubishi's presence at this year's New York Auto Show will be highlighted by the Outlander GT Prototype - a preview of a forthcoming redesign to the automaker's popular compact crossover SUV. So far, only a blurred teaser photo and two details shots of the 'ute have been released. As you will see, the new Outlander borrows heavily from the Lancer sedan - note the "Jet Fighter" grille - increasing its family resemblance. The prototype is packed with a host of new technologies, such as Idle Neutral Logic, which automatically shifts the transmission into neutral during vehicle standstill. Other highlights include improved performance and fuel economy from its more powerful 3.0-liter SOHC MIVEC V6 engine, and a Super-All-Wheel-Control System offering improved handling and control. Despite the updates up front, it doesn't look like the Outlander's hind-quarter received any attention from Mitsubishi's design department. Prototypes of the updated car were spied earlier this year. The official unveiling of the crossover will take place Thursday morning at the Mitsubishi press conference at the NY Auto Show. |
Saw it long time ago (there is a thread) and I still do no like. Lancer front doesn't look right on Outlander.

On the other hand, the powertrain/AWD enhancements are worth. |
I'll get my flame suit on...
While I like the look of the lancer, this looks ugly on the Outlander. Reminds me of a grouper fish or something. Unless the mechanicals are significantly updated(300hp or something), why bother?

If our Out goes to the streets with this change in the 2010, will lose in the appearance, I don't like me. . .

a while ago, there was a report that the 3.0 outlander will get the SST auto transmission from the EvoX.. is this still being planned?
