outlander s-awc system info?
 

Hi everyone, Im new to the site and just purchased a 2010 Outlander GT. I had a few questions about the S-AWC system? The dealer was not to up to date on how it worked in the outlander. So when you are driving is the display always showing what's going on or does it only show you when you are driving in rain or snow or when a wheel slips ? Mine only shows a bar or two in the middle display when you pull out, then shows nothing after that. From what I have read i thought it was always sending power to different wheels, which then would be showing you on the display. So if somebody can tell me how this system works i would appreciate that. thanks

Yes its always on, but only sends power to different wheels as needed. When you see the bars its sending the power, if you don't see the bars its working in the normal fwd mode. At least that's the way I understood it.
