My 2007 Outlander V6 has thrown code P0442 -- evaporative emission control leak (small) detected. The common thing to trigger this code is a gas cap. Mine's on tight, unless the cap itself has worn out.

Has anyone else had this code and fixed it? What besides the gas cap are common culprits on the Outlander?

 

perhaps you found the problem for that code.

 

The code appeared once, went away on restart and never came back, so I don't know what it was. Probably the gas cap.
