wifey got black - first thing i did was 3m the front end...this is an 09 btw...got a good technique washing my cars, sheepskin to wash and microfiber dry...waxed a few times (just bought it last year) and still have surface scratches from the washing...typical of black? mebee...typical of mitsu? mebee

I just checked mine and didn't see a single chip or feel any scratch with my fingers on the area in question. In fact, the place where I saw the most debris gather was near the bottom rear of the front doors, where it had vertical streaks of mud from the tires. This is with the OEM mudflaps that came with the car.
