RE: Paint durable or not?
I seen new cars with 10K which are taken well care of that don't look too good because of scratches and chips so I am just trying to see wherethis car isat... I guess it is not a problem since I haven't seen anything on the forum so far.
Thanks for the feedback.

RE: Paint durable or not?
To be serious for a moment - I just drove from Kamloops, BC to Prince George, BC and back last weekend - about 500kms each way (300 miles). The roads still had all the gravel and sand from winter and I thought for sure I'm going to do some damage.
No hood deflector, no bra, no mud guards, no nothing - paint is pristine. I have no chips, scratches, nothing anywhere. I was surprised, so yeah, based on that I'd say its durable.

Ive owned ten mitsubishis now and let me tell you i think mitsubishis paint is not the greatest...but probably is equal to most other cars in this price range...
i think if you treat it well and wax often youll be alright....
Offroading and rock trails is what kills the car badly..

A rock getting kicked up at 65 on the highway will chip your paint no matter what. If you plan on keeping it on the road I dont see the paint falling off the car. Keep it clean and you should be fine. When you start going off roading and driving in alot of salt then your screwed.

RE: Paint durable or not?
Compared to the First Gen Outlander...this paint is much better. But come back to me after a year with the Outlander...Ant is right..it's a little too early to tell, maybe find something to do to pass the time so yr not so worried about the paint?
