Play MP3 player

hello all, got a quick one. i would like to play my MP3 player in my car. i have a 2007 outy XLS with the base radio no NAV, I dont see any connections or adaplter to plug in my MP3 player. AM i stuck with just one of those FM radio transmitters? i have one but i hate the static and loss of reception. is there a better way to connect a MP3 player to my car?

You have an AUX jack behind the armrest? If not, you can buy one and install it rather easily. Then you hold down the CD button and it will switch to AUX.
It costs about $50 on eBay for the OEM part.

Are you referring to the center console? and if i don't have this aux jack can u please provide me with a link or wording of what i need to find this aux jack?

In the area where the middle 2nd row passenger put their feet, there is an AUX jack. If there isn't one, you can install it. You really can't miss it if you have it, so you most likely need to get it installed.

I can't find the official AUX jack that goes in the back of the armrest right now, however,
this is probably better since you can put the player near you/in the glove box.

Here is the official Mitsubishi part:

You can also get away with the $8 cable if you are ok with splicing wires.

Even better. All that it needs is L+R and ground to signal that it is connected. All the headunits support AUX in.

what's a good cable to hook up to the rca jacks? i've found out the hard way that not all of them work!
