Those numbers look quite impressive or optimistic to me. But I have my Outtie only a couple of weeks and recorded only 1 tank of gas. I have read that the mpg displayed by the gauge is a little optimistic, so I recorded the volume of gas required to fill up after driving 407.5 km. This was 45.77 L. This transposes to 20.85 mpg. This includes 260 km highway driving and the remainder city, so I am not impressed with those numbers. That also includes driving with a very light foot, easy acceleration and driving habits designed to squeeze out the highest mpg that I could. Hopefully my numbers improve but I don't see that happening. My Outtie is a 2007 LS which I purchased used with 15,000km showing.

I also have a '08 euro 2.2 diesel, been keping tabs on driving distance and refuel amount and lifetime average so far is 8.1l/100Km (around 29MPG) for the 12500km (7800miles) I have driven so far. That is comprised of a mix of city, highway and 100mph+ driving.

I have posted the question about the MPG meter before on this forum, but no one knew of any confirmed cases of a significant difference. But, yes, they could be overstated if the meter is optimistic. I've always been weary of it anyhow.

I will say I drive where there are no elevation changes and we're pretty much just above sea level, so that could improve mileage a bit. Also, forgot to mention, I have a FWD, not AWD.

i already make 8.2 - 8.5 l/100 km,
for 330 km on the hi way, take me 26 L of Gas.

I also want to add that i was driver Manual insted of automatic, so that way when you have a small hill, insted of downshifting, i keep my foor at the same possition and stay in 6 gear,

I get almost the exact posted MPG rating. I have 500 miles on my SE and get 20.x on city and 25.x highway.

well looks like I am happy now. No more going back to dealer.I am keeping the way it is. After driving a while, my mpg has improved. I did went back to the dealer and he said that it'll take time for the on-board computer to adapt my driving. So now I am getting 24-25.6 mpg HWY and about 18 city.

Sounds about right. I think a lot of these MPG discussions happening on here and the other board are because, with it being a PZEV engine, and a small SUV, people were expecting it to be better than it is, somehow - worth bearing in mind that it is still a pretty powerful motor, much more so than a CRV (which get the good gas miles), for example.

Lasttwo tanks:
#1 9.8L/100 km (24 MPG US) - 2WD/conservative driving(avoid abrupt acceleration)
#2 10.2L/100 km(23 MPG US) - 2WD/normal driving

Current tank4WD/normal followed by 4WD/conservative.
