procedure to change AUX connector
i have an xls 2010 7000km with Rockford System
and i have the RCA connector in my center armrest
but i have a big trouble with my ipod
when i plug the ipod with 3.5mm RCA cable, i got background noise and its WORST when i plug the power cable to the ipod
I already test my ipod in another car and everything is perfect
so can someone help me to remove the AUX connector from my armrest and reroute everyting in the front of the vehicule
SECOND
if i buy the MIT IPOD adapter with 3 cable to hook up to the radio harness, are they the same to the standard and the Rockford system
tks

Due to that noise, AUX input is barely usable

That's why the $6 cable does not cut it. You need a shielded cables to prevent picking all the noise like an antenna.
If you know your way with a soldering iron buy metal connectors and shielded coax cable and make you own for probably $10 to $15.

The original OEM aux in does it as well. To reduce noise, get ashort one from ebay and route it from the headunit to the glove box. The OEM cable is way too long, and subject to lots of interference as its fairly long.
