Default Timing Belt Toronto Area

If anyone is looking to get their timing belt done I highly recommend making the trip to Peterborough Mitsubishi. I just got mine done on my 2011 V6, along with the other belts and the tensioner for $722 CAD plus tax (I asked to change the belts while they were off). They had warned me that the price could vary depending on what was needed when inspected, and indicated the tensioner was likely. I mentioned when I paid that another dealer wanted to change the water pump without even looking at the car they scoffed and said that was an unnecessary waste of money. Took about 5 hours.

Interesting they didn't suggest the waterpump change, I like that. What mileage were you at for this belt change? So did they end up changing the tensioner?

125,000 kms, a bit early but half the price of what my nearest stealer wanted. They did the tensioner and it looks like 2 other belts.

I did my first belt change at 110k miles, didn't change tensioner or pump. I'm now at 211k miles and planning my 2nd change. will do tensioner this time around. really debating if I'm going to do the pump or not....I'm thinking not. Low end goal is to get 250k miles before corrosion kills the car....2 more years.
