Default Sick mmcs heeeeeeeeeeeeelllllp !!!

I've taken my car to the service after a large rock broke the windscreen.

The car came back with a nice screen but the MMCS seams to be no longer booting up and the guys who changed the screen have no clue and do not agree that it is there fault. So I am stuck.

The symptoms

Rear View camera works and the MMCS screen shows the camera view.

Bluetooth is visible from my phone as active ( I guess that is a separate module anyway )

Screen opens to expose the HDD and CD SLot, all seams to be working fine mechanically.

I took the HDD out, unlocked it and made a backup of all the files, so the HDD is working.

So the MMCs is getting power the HDD appears to be fine but not getting the Mitsu logo when starting the car.

Seams to me that the boot part of the drive is corrupt, or that something is stopping it to boot.

I see loading.kwi on the first partition, wonder if there should be any other files.

Any pointers welcome.

Anyone could send me a ghoast image of the boot partition.

Anyone had something similar happen.

Its an Outlander 2010 European

Cheers

Andy

Do a cold restart (with either battery or connectors disconnected for at least 30 minutes).

It will wipe whatever is stuck in RAM and re-read data from HDD.

Tried it, did not work but the unit did show some messages when powered back on which seams to confirm that the unit is working but the HDD or something else external is not.

Everything seems to be fine...

Only two partitions are critical for booting - with loading.kwi and screendata.

What is the error message?
