Sirius Module Outlander Sport

Would someone with Sirius in their Sport model please look behind the glove box and tell me what part number Mitsubishi is using. I've got three different numbers from different sources. 8701A216, or 8701A219 or MZ360147EX.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Just an update. 8701A219 is the current part for the Sport. (According to the local Mitsubishi Parts Department) They didn't know whether any of the other modules would work. There are threads on other vehicles that suggest that 8701A216 and 8701A103 might work as well. MZ360147EX appears to be an old part number pre 2007 model year.

You can compare the pinout for the Outlander vs the Outlander Sport with the service manual and see if they are compatible I guess. Do you know someone that owns a Lancer/Outlander with satellite radio? You can try theirs, it literally takes 10 minutes to take it out and you can test it just by plugging it in and seeing if it appears in MMCS.

Okay... Just finished the install of my Sirius Module into my Outlander Sport.

Got the module from Weber Brothers Auto Fair price and yes I got the 8701A219 module. Thought about trying one of the earlier modules (A216 or A103) but in the end I decided on the safe route.

Easy install.... I even used the antenna from the aftermarket system the dealer installed after I got the car. Onyx XM.. OK but no finger tip control. Never looked right in the car.

The module was from a wrecked Lancer and came with brackets which fit perfect in my Sport. After hooking the unit up I got an antenna error, turned out I hadn't pushed the plug in all the way. I didn't get the Sirius 184 preview channel that I thought I'd get when I turned it on. The message I kept getting was that the unit was refreshing channels. I finally called Sirius and had them activate the unit.
Voilą!!!!

It worked... 24 presets and finger tip control and didn't have to make a run to the dealer for anything. Don't get no better... :D

Left the antenna on the passengers side dash, close the windshield.

Gentex Mirror next...

Great, good to hear it worked without hassle. I don't know why dealers put in some tacky 3rd party system when its so easy to add.

Hey there. I have a 2011 "O Sport" SE ( FWD ) standard 6 Disc Radio. I was wondering if anybody knows how exactly a Sirius module would get wired into the stock radio or if its even possible.

I figured it out . Very easy. Thanks anyway
