Thumbs up FAST Key is $50 now

I bought a FAST key for 08 Outlander from mitsuparts site about 2 month ago for $200, and it was laying around because I couldn't make the time to go to the dealer to have it reprogrammed until now...

I called the dealer to make an appointment and when asked about the pricing I was surprise that it's way below from what I paid. He said they charge $50 for a new FAST key and $100 for reprogramming. My first thought was of course that I overpaid by getting it from mitsuparts, unless this is a recent change. Can anyone confirm this?

I am curious too if it's possible to reprogram yourself. I don't think it's worth $100

i believe you have to take it to the dealership. cause it interacts with the ECU or some other controller.

klas, it is necessary to use the scan tool to register the new Fastkey path ETACS, unless an hidden procedure exists, but I do not have that information

Default F.a.s.t

I just bought a F.A.S.T key fob today. $169.00 employee price. It is $259.00 reg price. Also I had to purchase the key seperately. They had to cut the key also. The key was like $3.00

Well, turned out that it wasn't "$50" for a key, as usual dealer just pulled that number out his a$$ when I called and when I checked the actual price with parts department it came out to be $140

No klas, it's just a bait. Dirty old dealer trick luring you to come in. When you get there and get everything done, they will charge the actual price and say the original price was a mistake. I remember one member here that got quoted for foglight install for much less and ended up being charge $500. That is just ridiculous.
