Default Static discharge

2010 GT: Just curious if anyone else experiences this,,
when i close the door (doesn't matter which one) I always get hit with a huge static shock (started happening more often coming into autumn, now just happens all the time)
this is getting annoying always weary when I push on the window frame just above or right by the handle to shut the door

any clues?? does this car have grounding issues??
never experienced this with any other vehicles that I've owned

thanks in advance

Just the type of fabric used combined with low humidity of winter. Before getting out, grab the door frame, hold onto it as you get out....no sparks.

Guess it's kinda like rub your feet on the carpet and watch folks in your household jump or run from you as you near

thanks,
I'll give it a shot, if that fails ( most likely from my laziness to adapt) then I'll try neoprene seat covers

I believe it,, I've seen it in the dark where it jumps a gap better than a spark plug

Now remember, to cause an explosion, you need the correct fuel/air mixture. Mythbusters couldn't get an explosion even with an igniter.
