Download the service manual from this thread
https://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/mi...ownload-20796/ Open the first pdf in the folder click volume 3 click chassis electrical 54 click chassis electrical 54 (again) scroll down and click STEERING WHEEL AUDIO REMOTE CONTROL SWITCH*. 54A-561 go to page 125 and start reading. it has a step by step guide to troubleshoot any problem. OR in windows search the whole folder for GR00000100C-54A.pdf then go to page 125 |

I am having this problem on my 2010 Outlander XLS.
The Cruise control works fine, but the Mode, Track, Volume, and Voice control buttons do not work. This happened after a battery replacement. I'm assuming they just need reprogramming? Unfortunately the links posted to the previously mentioned thread are down. Any advice? |
very disapointed...

Update for me - the controls work when the wheel is turned to a certain position.
Is this a clear indicating that the clock spring needs replacement? If so, do I need a steering wheel puller toll to remove or is it done pretty easily? (I'm aware the battery needs to be disconnected and ground myself when working near the airbag) |

Same same...before I'ved replaced the spring it works fine when the steering wheel was at 100 degrees position!
now even i turn the steering wheel to any position it doesnt work.... Waiting for solution |
My dealership wants ~$180 to replace the clock spring.
I found the part on ebay for $20-30. Do you need a steeringwheel puller to install? |
costs
My dealership wants 300$ part and replacement....
i bought it from ebay-25$ and just pay the replacement to the dealer 70$. Next week ill return to dealership to chek it again... |
