Looking through the Mitsubishi part numbers, it's clear that they made numerous shock absorber and spring updates through the years of 2014-2020. I was specifically looking at the rear. Does anyone have any experience between the years that would indicate they made the suspension more/less firm as the years went on. The follow on question to that, is does anyone know if you could fit a 2020 strut assembly into an older 2014 Outlander? In terms on the mitsubishi part numbers, the bushing/shock mount/damper pad are the same through all the years (2014-2020), so there's a good chance it would fit.
