Are their different "modes" programmed into transmission computer

oops - that should be "there" in the title of the post!

Might be a weird question, but we had our transmission memory reset. Ever since then (a few months ago), we are getting worse gas mileage.

Is there a specific factory programmed mode (maybe like a fuel efficient mode rather than a sporty mode) that the transmission has from the factory?

I thought a member here mentioned something like that a year or so ago...

Thanks!
Dave

If you had it reprogrammed per the TSB to stop the hard shifting when cold all they do is increase the slipping when shifting.

This is a learning tranny and teaching it in winter is not going to give the best milleage but it should reset itself in the spring as it continuously learn.

The Sport mode is accessed by changing a feed wire in the transmission ECU and the screen display Ds instead of D.

See there.

Claude is right the transmission "learns" your driving style and if it's reset for any reason like when you remove the battery to put in a new one, or a reprogramming TSB, it takes time for it to re-learn. I believe this is documented in the owner's manual.

We had to get it reset because it was shifting a bit odd after an error code came up....

It just seems that it has signifcantly reduced the gas mielage. We do a lot of hiway driving and it is way lower than it was last winter and right before it got reset....
