Tire pressure

Manual ( on the door panel) says 29 psi front and back -it seems / feels "soft". Mine are OEM Dunlop Sp4000 sports and pumped to 36 psi front & back.

What's your pressure? Any thoughts / recommendations?

OEM Yokahamas, 37 psi on all. Feels right and I'm getting close to 28 mpg on 99% highway driving.

KHUMO G.T. 37 psi. (rear) 35 psi. (front) good grips up front, perfect for launching at the lights.

exactly running that amount in my twenties and no problems so far. nice and tight and still plenty sticky for the boulevard battles. oh and for my torino i am running 15psi and if u have to ask why then u need to question yourself when it comes to racing.

if it's a traction thing then i've got something for you.... Too low pressure can CAUSE spin. This effect can very with the size of your sidewall too. Obviously must import tuners are runnning very small sidewall, but for those of you who arent and then some... when you have low tire pressue and you let the clutch out, the actual rim spins hard and pulls the inside of the tire with it (the crunching effect often seen on softer slicks), and when the tire has no more to give and it tightens up, you get a much harder hit when it initially turns where your tire meets the pavement. To sum up, lower psi can give more contact area, but cause a harder hit which will cause spin.

I don't think you can spin out with the AWD can you?

RE: Tire pressure

That would hardly ever happen, and if it did, it would be brief untill you took off.

I've tried...but nothing. The AWD on the Outlander is pretty good.
