Towing Light On the Dashboard Question
 

Guys I have an aftermarket hitch and harness that I was successfully using for over a year or so, recently I noticed that on the dashboard there is a light in a shape of the trailer... It never been ON. Does anyone knows what is it for?

Most likely adjusts the shift points and turns off overdrive. This will help keep you in the proper power band longer and prevent the transmission from "hunting" for the right gear by shifting back and forth over and over.

i have a 2011 GT with towing package and have never seen the picture that you describe.:confused:

Neither one.

Maybe someone forgot to put it there.

But is says on the window sticker "towing package".

Now to check out owners manual.

Same for me. Towing package on a GT and ive never seen a light when I tow. Maybe its only present on the 2wd models.

2012 GT model-w/towing pkg-you might have hit the nail on the head. Maybe Mitsu doesn't think that the V6 needs a computer assist when towing?
