Used MMCS in Outlander 2011
1 Attachment(s)
Can I install this used navigation E-02 MMCS in my new european Outlander 2011? What additional equipment do I need?

Compare the service manual for the 2007 vs the 2011 and see the difference in the connectors between the two versions of the NAV.
If its ok, then its just plug and play plus a couple of screws...you really can't get it wrong as connectors wont fit in the wrong place. Keep in mind the core unit itself is only one part, you need the CAN box/mounting bracket and the fascia for the dashboard. Likewise, the GPS antenna as well. |
Navigation have completely identical connectors. But the main thing is that navigation 2007 - 2009 have order number MZ360301EX and install kit MZ360192EX. Navigation 2010 - have a order number MZ360303EX and install kit MZ360312EX. Why? Is there perhaps other software? Will this older navigation function without problems in a new car? Thanks.

The newer one has TMC (live traffic) and USB iPod/hard drive support. For the latter, you need hands free module to take advantage of it, which itself has the USB connector.
I don't believe you will have problems, at least for the very core NAV functions. Some have even retrofitted the new BT/USB module to the old NAV/stereo. |
