Default Warranty question / Power steering pump

Hi,
I recently bought a 2003 Outlander, it was great at first but then I start hearing metal friction/grinding noises coming from the caras I turn the wheel.

According to the mileage and year count I am still under power train warranty, but I am the second owner. I have heard somewhere that powertrain are only available for the first owner?

Does anyone know if 2nd owner are also covered under the powertrain warranty?

Thanks

Thanks Sebba, but I am not too familiar with the issue.

Is the power steering pump under power train warranty?

Is there any instruction on what to do in that case?

Thanks alot

Im pretty sure the PT warranty isnt transferable, because this is the question I had when I got the 07 and the answer was no. Also I dont think the power steering is part of the powertrain anyway.

Which really sucks.

Not included ? Any approx on how much it would be to replace in the service center?

I did some research and seems the bump is about 25 to 50 bucks?

I know, for 07 Outlanders, the powertrain warranty is transferrable, but only the first 5 years since it was bought. Only first owners enjoy the full 10 yr powertrain warranty. 2nd owners on the other hand, receives whatever is left of the first 5 years.

Thanks rcpax

Can anyone confirm if power steering is included in the powertrain or not?

Anyone ever has it replace, how much was it?
