Wheel fitment quest...
Hi guys...
Just bought myself a brand new Outlander LS V6 Awd!!!
I had a wheel related question.
I have a brand new set of 16" wheels off a Kia Forte SX wich are also 5 x 114.3 but have a 45-50mm offset,center bore 67.1.
Our Outlander are pretty much the same except for the Offset wich is 35-45mm. Do you guys think they will fit good or will there be strut clearance issues!
I tried the wheels on the sit perfect on the hub but I'm worried about where the tire meets the strut. :S

What is the offset on the Kia wheel you have, a range is not the answer a single number is.
Have a look here -- Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible Page 4 of 4
They have an offset calculator close to the top of the page
I attached the result for a 50mm wheel.
You will be 1/2 inch closer to the strut it should work unless your offset is larger then use the calculator and decide...

I just recently took delivery on a 2012 Outlander XLS and am wondering what the offset is on the factory 18" rims? The tire size that it came with is 225/55R/18.
Other than it's main function, I'm not too sure what I should be look for should I decide to purchase another set of rims and how big and wide I can go without affecting the speedometer, suspension, etc. Should I stay with 18" or can I go bigger without much issues? Any particular brands for rims and/or tires?
Thanks.
