Hi everyone,
I have a 2003 Eclipse that I need some help with. Runs Great no problem there. the problem is, after driving a few miles and I turn off the engine, I put the car in park (automatic ), I can not get the key out, especially if it is cold outside. It is like the key will not turn to the point where it can be removed. I have noticed that the button on the gear shift is not sufficiently engaged and I can move the gear shift back and forth. I am assuming that the button is causing my problem but I do not know what it actuates. Has any one seen this problem. Thanks
Bob

number 24116 is the cable that goes from the shifter to the lock cylinder.
Its a saftey feature to prevent you from removing your key when your car is in gear.
If the cable goes out of adjustment your key will become stuck.
