2011 Outlander Sport ES Picked Up
Greetings all....Just picked up my new 2011 Outlander Sport ES. Went for the CVT to help get maximum fuel economy on Socal freeways and prevent the need for a daily left leg workout. Job location change forced me to trade in my previous ride (F150 XLT Supercrew) for something more economical yet capable and roomy enough to hold the carseat for my 1 year old son.
I've only had the car for a few days but I'm impressed overall with what Mitsubishi has put into the car at the price point. The ride overall is comfortable, controlled and the CVT works well with the 2.0. It's not a speed machine but accelerates just fine for me, especially once underway. Cockpit is clean and simple, the addition of some soft touch / padded materials on the dash and doors helps the interior feel a step up, certainly much better than some of the other cars I tested out.
I'm a bit of an old salt (at 42) but enjoy talking about cars, my experiences with them, etc. Glad to be here and looking forward to more than several years with my Outlander Sport.
