Default Battery Warning Indicator

Hi Guys - I need your opinion on this one for 98 Montero Sport. One day while driving, I noticed that my voltmeter was below 12v, no battery warning. Then after a few miles, it went back up to normal which is above 12v. It worked for a few days.

Now it is doing the same thing. I thought battery was dying and not charging anymore so I replaced it. During the install, I just noticed that when I turn on the ignition, I do not see the Battery Warning indicator anymore. Usually, you see it stayed ON until you start the engine. I am thinking this is related to my issue of my battery voltage dropping. Is there a fuse somewhere that when blown, it affects even the indicator light and the charging capability?

Good to mention I have an aftermarket alternator that has been working for more than a year now. If this went bad, how come my battery indicator stopped working at the same time?

On the manual, I see number 13 fuse (Alternator 100A) inside the engine compartment. I will try to check that out.

Any other idea, experts? Thanks!!
