hello and
hello
I'm having a problem with my 2003 eclipse gts. I noticed it yesterday while driving on the interstate. As soon as i let off the accelerator and began to slow down it felt like one of my wheels began to shake more and more as i slowed down. but the second that i gave it a little gas the shaking immediately stopped. I tried it several times and every time the same shaking... the car does not shake when i brake. When I exited off the interstate and tried slowing down from about 35mph the shaking didn't happen; only seems to happen around 60mph +/- 10mph. Some possible ideas i have are: wheel out of balance bubble on tire (didnt see any though) loose control arms loose tie rods alignment lug nuts are tight. other??? any other ideas? I have not had a chance to start checking things off the list, just wondering where you would start? thanks for any input. |
guess I came to the wrong place place. to bad no one here knows anything about mitsubishis.

Why not try swapping your tyres from front to rear and see if that'll eliminate the possibility of it being them? Sometimes depending on the complaint, you may want to check your CV joints. What's the mileage?

try posting in the actual forum for your car model, you'll get answer's from some Mitsubishi vets. Mitsubishi eclipse 3rd gen, best of luck and welcome to the forum
