My Eclipse....by r18ad
I was looking for some kind of owners club.
This site caught my attention.
Yes, I'm new here but I have to tell you people....
I have a 1994 Eclipse with over 340,000 miles on it,
though mostly freeway miles.
Oh, I have spent the $$$$ in upkeep but she's been
paid for since June of '01.
I save the monthly payment I had which gives me the
cash to pay for repairs such as valve guide seals, CV boots, etc.
I averaged $127/month maintenance in '09 as I'm not
much at mechanics...the biggest expense was a radiator.
Oh...I am in the Houston TX area so my car has never
been exposed to salt!!!!
But the best part? She still averages 36 mpg.
(as stated...It's mostly freeway miles)
