New Lost Person
Hi Everyone!
I bought a 1996 Montero LS at an impound auction, discovered it to be a lot of fun and took it off roading twice. Second time out blew the water pump and had a grand adventure getting back to civilization via tow strap! I get the feeling this old gal is going to teach me a few things, starting with the water pump so I may be a regular on this forum. I'm a middle age female myself but I like to at least attempt repairs myself .... I've had some good sucess stories with other vehicles and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty.
So for now, any advice on the water pump? And yes, I intend to do the timing belt at the same time. Can't find a Chilton or Haynes manual for this year. Any other resources? If I get the owners manual from a dealer is it worth the outrageous price they want?
Chris
