Default Newbie Here

Hey everyone, I found this forum site by browsing the net looking for information on performance upgrades for my car which is a 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS. I'm currently looking for an intake system for it, so if anyone knows what I can do, any advice would be appreciated.

welcome to the forum, from what i hear injen is the best one for our model, however, they dont do all that much, i personally cut the snorkle off, stuck a high flow cone filter on it, took out the regular filter, and it works better that way than when i had my intake on............ and you must be carefull about the one you buy, a lot of times they dont fit right, or are missing pieces.........

Ok, so I'll simply get a cone filter, and stick it on the stock intake hose, but which one would you recommend? Would a K&N work?

yea, thatll work......... follow the stock airbox down to the dead end box, thats the snorkle, cut it off and stick the new filter on the end, pull the stock airbox filter out and your all set....... this gives you cooler air than a short ram intake and keeps the car fairly stock without spending a buttload of money for a piece of aluminium that may not fit right..........
